The printed edition of the Record magazine features obituary notices in the Back Pages section of the magazine. The Record offers two types of obituaries:

1. Free Obituaries includes only full name, date and place of birth, date and place of death, church membership, military service, Seventh-day Adventist Church employment service, individuals who preceded the deceased in death and survivors. Note: With few exceptions, the names of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and in-laws are not included as survivors.

• Example: Doe, Jane, born Dec. 13, 1931, Augusta, Georgia.; died Feb. 17, 2018, Ardmore, Oklahoma. Church membership: Ardmore Seventh-day Adventist Church. Preceded in death by husband, James Doe, and sister, Ellen Poe. Survivors: son, Franklin Doe (JoElla), of Keene, Texas; daughter, Francine Robert (William), of Albuquerque, New Mexico; three grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

2. Paid Obituaries include the information listed above (Free Obituaries) and can include additional text for a longer notice at the rate below and/or a photograph.  

• up to 250-word custom obituary without photo: $25
• up to 250-word custom obituary with photo: $40
• 350 word custom obituary with or without photo: $80
