Texarkana Seventh-day Adventist Church Family Ministries leaders Zach and Samantha White love spending time in God's creation through nature, and many Family Ministries outings have focused around this love of nature. Their children, Anna and Zoe, have grown to love it, and the Creator as well. When Anna and Zoe expressed a desire to be baptized, they also asked if they could be baptized in nature.

On Sabbath, July 25, Family Ministries led the church service in Texarkana with a sermon on salvation by living faith. Following the service, they led an outing to Shady Lake in the Ouachita National Forest. In God's serene creation, the church had a picnic, singing and reading of God's Word.

The church family then walked down to the nearby Saline River, where Anna and Zoe were baptized by church elder Mike Sowers and assisted by their father. Head elder Antwion Collins and retired pastor Rex Shores participated in the solemn service by presenting the girls with their baptismal certificates.

There was great joy in the baptizing of two wonderful souls into the church, but we know the greatest rejoicing was in the heavenly court.
