On Sabbath, August 1, Héctor M. Quinones was installed as the new pastor of the Shreveport district. Tim Kripps, who in addition to being the Education director at the Arkansas-Louisianna Conference is elder at Shreveport First Seventh-day Adventist Church, represented the conference and carried out the installation. Members from the Shreveport South Seventh-day Adventist Church joined members at the Shreveport First church in an uplifting, spiritual ceremony.

Quiñones is an ordained minister of the Seventh-day Adventist Church with more than 30 years of pastoral ministry and leadership experience. His passion is to faithfully proclaim the Word of God, lead people into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, and prepare hearts for the soon return of our Lord.

A native of New York City and the son of immigrants from the Dominican Republic, Quiñones answered God's call to ministry after leaving a successful career in banking. Since his ordination in June 2001, he has devoted his life to preaching the everlasting Gospel, discipling believers, developing leaders, and strengthening local congregations.

His ministry has included 21 years of service in the Texico Conference and nine years in the Bermuda Conference, where he served both as a local church pastor and in conference leadership. Throughout his ministry, he has conducted evangelistic campaigns, revival meetings, Bible conferences, and leadership training while also mentoring other pastors, always seeking to exalt Christ and inspire faithful discipleship.

Known for his biblical preaching, pastoral heart, and unwavering commitment to excellence, Quiñones believes that the transforming power of theGospel is God's answer to the deepest needs of humanity. His greatest desire is that every message he shares will draw people closer to Jesus Christ and encourage them to live in joyful anticipation of His soon return.
