On Sunday, Aug. 2, Lake Whitney Ranch Director Hector Perez started feeling unwell, so Mario Escobar, Lake Whitney Ranch Plant Services manager, took him to the Clifton hospital. There, doctors determined he was having a heart attack and transferred him by ambulance to a hospital in Waco.

Doctors initially planned to insert a stent the following Monday but discovered that Perez had significant blockage in his arteries. He was scheduled for open-heart surgery in Austin later in the week.

Before Perez was transferred to Austin, Texas Conference officers, along with Hillel Martin, pastor of the Waco and Killeen Spanish Seventh-day Adventist churches, met with Perez and his wife, Anabel, Lake Whitney Ranch manager. They gathered to sing, pray, and anoint Perez.

We invite you to join us in praying for Hector, his family, and the hospital staff caring for him. The family appreciates all your prayers for Hector and welcomes any messages you would like to share.
