Five women shared how their experiences at the Southwestern Union Women’s Ministries Retreat inspired them when they spoke during the Oct. 10 worship service at the Conway Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Kelly Norton, Everlene Rouse, Sharon Dunaway, Doris Keyes, and Paula Nance attended the retreat, held Sept. 18–20 in Frisco, Tex. They spoke about key messages from the session speakers, including the importance of different generations learning from one another. They also shared that they enjoyed meeting friends from other Seventh-day Adventist conferences and appreciated the musical talent featured during the retreat.
Their accounts of fellowship and the reminder that God is still writing our story sparked interest among other women in the congregation. After the service, some commented that they would definitely like to attend a future women’s retreat.
