Seventeen children from Huntsville spent three days in “Cactusville” Vacation Bible School at the Huntsville Seventh-day Adventist Church in late June.

The church was transformed into an old Western town with cactus plants, an old mine, and a campfire area. “Sheriff Dee” and her “deputies” led the children through songs, Bible stories, prayer, crafts, and outdoor games.

The first day introduced John the Baptist with a theme of “It’s okay to be different.” The second day introduced Joseph with a theme of “Forgiveness.” The third day brought the best topic of Jesus with a theme of “Giving.” Each day ended with healthy snacks and more singing.

The Huntsville church is looking forward to “Cactusville 2” next year.
